The stories said it all. We heard from those who had the original vision for the centre, residents, and partners. Real experiences. Honest moments. The kind that reminds you this work isn’t a just a theory it’s personal. The Fred Winter Centre is a place where someone comes in for breakfast… and leaves with support, direction, and a bit more hope.
Four years on, the need is growing. Lives are more complex, and we have to adapt to keep up. Our focus remains the same:
§ Reach people earlier. § Break down barriers. § Help people move forward.
Most importantly we do this collaboratively in line with our ethos – “preventing homelessness through partnership”. The Fred Winter Centre only works because of the people behind it, the team, the volunteers, the partners, and the residents. I’m so proud of what’s been built – here’s to many more years to come. Thanks to all who contributed to and supported the event!
